Hi all

I have a 4 foot, 240 litre frag tank with a 3 level racking system in it. Turbo snails keep the sides and back algae free but not the racking. The crabs can't climb the racking so I looked for a fish to do the job! I added a small single spot Fox face which was amazing however it was clear that it wasn't happy so I moved it to my main display.

So I'm now looking for another type of algae eating fish which will scale the racking and eat the long green hair algae which grows on my frag plugs, wave makers, racking...everywhere. I considered a lawnmower blenny but im concerned that it will just eat at the bottom of the tank only. I'm also considering a kole tang as I hear they are ok in smaller tanks (4 foot)

What fish would you suggest?

Thanks!

Get trochus snails. They’ll climb on anything will decimate that mess

Bump!

I have a tailspot blenny in my tank that mows down algae all over the place. Don't even have to feed that guy! He keeps his belly nice and plump too!

Nice! Even up the top of rock work? And on wavemakers?

He loves the rock work! Probably his favorite "restaurant" around the tank. He likes the glass too. I have seen a few marks on the wavemaker, but not that many. My wavemaker stays fairly clean, though. I'm not sure what cleans it, could be the blenny, or the snails. Not sure.
