Should I reduce lighting? Will it eventually go away?Looks like diatoms and if the tank is new it's normal
So keep the lights on their usual run time?Only diatom. Crank the light. Crank the filtration. Crank the flow. Lol. Get that bad boy cycled.
Fake nem?
D
)I do plan to add snails soon!Diatoms, cyanobacteria, green hair algae, all part of the first year experience. Sit back, relax, and watch nature do its thing. It all turns out okay in the end.
I much prefer natural methods of control, so if things start to get really ugly (my nemesis was GHA), slowly introduce more of the appropriate CUC to handle it, ie. turbo snails, urchins, etc.
Ah, ok, thank you! This and more is part of a maturing tank unfortunately.
Thank you!Your tank is maturing and I have to say I LOVE the archway! What fish do you plan on putting in there?
