Im not talking about any known nuisance algae. I'm just talking about a yellow film that develops daily that im constantly scraping off. My nitrates and phosphates are both 0. I tested it yesterday. My kh is 8. My pH Is between 8 & 8.5. My calcium is only 340 but I'm working on getting it up using aqua vitro calcification. I also use aqua vitro 8.4 which has gotten me kh and pH right on spot in a little over a week. I have no idea what's causing it. I have a 75 gallon tank by the way and do water changes regularly. Any ideas? Even though my calcium is low I still have a decent amount of coraline popping up. You can se the algae towards the bottom of the glass

How old is your tank? For the first year or so you'll probably experience all kinds of algae blooms as the tank stabilizes. (normal) Assuming you are using RO/DI water, just continue to clean the glass on a regular basis and keep up with the water changes. Don't overstock, don't overfeed etc. Sooner or later this nuisance algae will be replaced by Coralline algae. GL.

It's been setup for about 6 months.
