Algae growing on toadstool

Salifert test kit is what I use and love them. Others have their favorites. Bacteria and parameters are different animals. Bacteria will be dealt with one way. Parameters will be brought in line another. Depending on the id will depend on how to tackle the cyano. It'll take a little time but it is definitely capable of being resolved with the right course of action.

One thing I can say is don't over chase the parameter numbers to where they're up and down trying to find that sweet spot. Consistency is better than chasing an "ideal". We don't live in a perfect world and not all systems are the same. Happy Reefing and WELCOME TO THE MADNESS!

Just to be clear, I use h202 to id correct?

1 cup tank water, 5 ml h202 (3%) and a clump of the cyano in question. Just put in a sealed container and let sit overnight.

Looks to be a candidate for treating with 1ml(h202) per 10gal water every 12 hours. Just add to a high flow area preferably in the return section of your aio.
