So I started my 20g tank with 5 pounds of cured rock and 15 pounds of dry rock. its been up about 4 weeks since setup. Now Ive been noticing brown algae or something. Is this part of the cycle for coraline algae to grow? Or is this something I have to control myself. reduce light duration? I have my led light on for about 13 hours a day. When I start having corals I will reduce the duration.

Those look like diatoms. It's nothing to worry about. Most newer tanks get them. Just do water changes and you should be good. They probably won't be around for longer than maybe a couple weeks? Don't hold me to that though lol.
