I have this haze on my front glass. I don't have algae problem other than this haze. The phosphate is at 0.06 and nitrates at 8.6. I need to scrape it off every two days.

Why is this happening and what is the best way to address it? I have been having this situation for more than a year even though the parameters have been near perfect.

Any help is appreciated.

More snails, possibly making sure you don't have excess silica (if it is diatoms on the glass), and that is about it.

Snails like was mentioned, pods and live phytoplankton will help out alot consuming free floating algae that'll attack the glass. Plus the pods will be all over the glass at night feeding if you can up the population.

But yes snails

Its perfectly normal, at least in every tank I have. The only way I have found to remove this is good old fashioned elbow grease with a hand held scraper. My tangs love it and follow me around eating as I scrape.
Yeah true that. That's what I am doing now. Agree nothing beats elbow grease.
