how is the best way to get rid of this algae ,what
is it called my water parameters are ph is 8.2, am 0.25,nitrite is 0 nitrate is
0 phos. is 0 i use a api test kit just upgraded from a 55 to 125 so there is
about 80 pounds of new sand and 50 pound of old sand i am runing uv and a
corlife 125 skimmer the tank has been running about 6 weeks since the upgrade i
have about 10 fish <br></div>

Nusiance algae is caused my excess nutrients or phosphates. You show to have nitrites which is not good. Most of the time excess nutrients are from overfeeding. You will need to do water changes and sometimes elevating your magnesium level will help also. What lighting are you using? Also i would recommend taking a sample to lfs and have them test your water. 6 weeks is way to short a time to be adding fish and corals because tank has probaly not cycled yet.
