Hi everyone! My tank has been running for about 5/6 months now and I'm getting alot of Algae all over the place and what looks like lettuce growing on my artificial corals. Any ideas on how to get rid of this or keep it under control? I currently have 3 small fish and 2 turbo snails I'm my tank.

Here are the pictures. I have not checked my parameters in a couple weeks I will have to do them tonight and keep you posted!

Cyanobacteria maybe with a mix of dinoflagellates
A few issues at once but tackle one at a time

As with any algae it needs to have a food source. The key to getting rid of it for good is to find out what that food source is. I recommend you step back and look at your feeding habits, your incoming waters TDS also your aquarium maintenance routine. 10% water change per week or 20% biweekly with 0 TDS RO/DI water is a must. Feed every other day only what your fish will eat in 5 min. Go ahead and manually remove as much algae as you can, You can cut back on your photo period for now if you chose to do so. Like i said find the source fixes the problem. Best of luck

You might have to add more flow as well.
Look at increasing or changing members of your clean up crew.
Of course as mentioned above, the water source should be RO/DI water for all water changes and top off.
Have the water tested for nitrates and phosphates at the local fish store if you do not have the right test kits.

Good luck
