This is film algae and a result of bright light and too much light.

Is tank at or near a window?
Reduce white light intensity and amount of time light is on.

Other causes:
Use of tap water
overfeeding
White light on more than 12 hrs per day
elevated phosphates

Adding snails will help with control such as:
Astrea
turbo grazer
Nerite
Trochus

Pencil urchin

You'd be surprised at the power of UV and will penetrate shades-blinds-curtains. Try adding black construction paper from walmart to the side facing window and see if there is improvement which there will likely be
