SO tank is 4 months old. I've had dinos, they are well under control now that I have nutrients up. Corals are thriving. Coraline is growing slowly. But I have this hard red algae with hard to break strings extending out. It's in patches bit certainly growing. Thoughts?

Thank you. Its green turf algae. This type of algae is wiry, cosrse and have thicker than most pest algae. They may or may not have a mat like root structure and appear generally out of nowhere. You can scrub outside of tank with 3% peroxide as its a pain in the %%$% to control and remove by conventional means.
Adding clean up members such as emerald crabs, pincushion urchins, pith crabs and chiton snails should help with contrl once rock is scrubbed. Some use toothbrush for scrubbing - I like the auto detail brush from auto parts store.
