My new tank has been running for about a month, with cycled dry pukani (cured/cycled for about 4 months).
Parameters are:
80.7 degrees (can’t get this lower atm :()
1.024 salinity
2.0 nitrates
0 ammonia/nitrite
8.3 dkh
0.19 phosphates

I was expecting diatoms but this doesn’t really look like what I expected? It’s bubbly and snotty, comes off easily but comes right back and is spreading fast. I thought maybe cyano but it’s brown. I have 6 tiny fish in there now. Any help would be much appreciated!

Could be some golden algae - Chrysophytes, they are a little different from diatoms but also need a lot of silica and may go away once silica is consumed.

Some diatoms can be like that as well. It's too early for dinos, so i don't think that's an issue for you yet. I'd watch it for abit to see how it progresses. If diatoms, it'll go away on its own after reducing the silicates.
