Hello everyone, I have this algae in my tank that is growing wild, while all the other algae’s are growing At minimal levels. Nothing seems to eat it and it grows in long strands. It also seems to have little leaves on it. Can anybody ID and any way to get rid of it?

It looks to be a macro algae of some sort. Just pull it out with your hands..

A tang would probably take care of it

Caulerpa sp.
keep harvesting regularly (don’t throw it alive into a natural saltwater environment as it becomes invasive) , get an herbivore. They used to sell it!

What would take care of it? If not I’m fine with leaving it just grows really fast. 20 gallon long tank btw
