It depends on what you consider new, ive had it for about two months

Two months is still pretty new I would consider this normal algae growth in a young tank that will go away on its own, as far as the exact name of the algae I believe its the start of green hair algae.

Nope, no problem, just part of a new tank maturing.

That would be a "yes". Looks like green hair algae. Fairly typical for a "new" tank. Check your nitrate and/or phosphate levels. They're probably climbing. Cerith snails will sometimes eat it as will urchins. I had better luck with a Starry Blenny, but he got too big for my tank. Lawnmower Blenny's (hence the name) and sometimes Tail-spot Blenny's will also do a job on it.
