I've got this green looking slime algae growing in big patches on my rocks, and on some of my Zoas.the tank is 4 years old and water para. Are unknown,I use gfo and a little carbon and skimmer, plenty of flow, and for the last few weeks only feeding once a day( pellet food)since the hurricane a few weeks ago, power was out for 2 days so I decided to clean the sump but when I got it up and running I didn't install the skimmer of gfo in til 4 days ago.everything in the tank is doing great except 1 starfish had died a day or 2 ago.the algae has been around for a week and is spreading pretty fast any help would be greatly appreciated

Weird. It's the second time I've seen this exact one today.

Sounds like it got knocked out of whack. Probably goona take some time to get it back in order. Nutrient reduction and removal.
It looks just like green cyano but it's fuzzy like algae on the glass that gets out of hand.

Possibly some die off in the rock ?

Your power was out for 2 days. Did you replace the GFO media or did you use the same stuff you already had? Stagnant GFO is a nasty thing to have = dead bacteria = algae.

As mentioned before, your balance got out of wack and needs time to get back under control.
Die off in the rock and now it's leaching back out can be the factor here.
A extra WC per week won't hurt, feeding less will help as well, bacteria dosing every other day to spike the bacteria population, cutting down on some photo time from the lights can slow it down a bit.
Is there a way that you can test your water?
FTS of tank and sump will tell us something of the setup.
