Any idea what type of algae this is and the best cuc to address it? It covers most rocks and toothbrushes off pretty easily.

tank has been up since 9/2018? Can diatoms happen any time? Best snail or cuc to help?

i always associated diatoms with one of the ‘ugly phases’ of new tanks (and unlikely to reoccur). hopefully others will chime in.
