trying to id if this is red turf algae or just normal coralline. Seeing if I need to worry. Only on a few rocks close to Powerheads

it appears to be a little fuzzy. Can’t really scrape off.

the last pic is night photo. It’s the dark maroon color.

It is hard to say... some areas look as though it might be Cyanobacteria. But other areas look like Coraline Algae.

Coraline Algae is good. Cyanobacteria isn't.

Can you clean it off the rock? When you do, does it come off in a mat that you can roll up?

I tried to scrape it off with my nail and it did not come up.

Yes... sounds like Coraline Algae. In general, people view it as an indicator of a healthy tank. I wouldn't worry about it. But it will grow on EVERYTHING, so keep on top of your equipment and glass.

Ok cool. I just saw that it kinda had a fuzz appearance and it made me question it.
