Algae ID please

Hi guys!



Hope someone here can help me ID these algae, they have started to grow up on my pillows and start to kill my corals


Information that I can give you is that those are about 3-4 mm and similar to scallops. if I put a needle into it i will crushes them.

what i hope you guys can help me with is whats the name on this (sorry for bad language) ****ers!
How can I get rid of them and what will be needed and get rid of them?

It looks translucent in this picture they call it x-phyla seems to be a new species discovery not long ago if indeed that is it.

Name: Dendrogramma enigmatica, maybe not this since it's found 1000m depth never know

can you remove one and take a picture of it outside of the aquarium

Looks like the photos were shot under blue lighting. Have any photos under daylight bulbs?

This is not an alga, it definitely are foraminiferans. It is Heterostegina depressa or a closely related species.

Yep you found it. My next question for you is how do i get it away and what do i need to do?

Is your tank quite new? Usually they will disappear anyway after some time. I guess bristle worms are eating them since I was able to keep them for a long time in a tank without sandbed. I like them, in my eyes they are nice. I wouldn´t remove them, they don´t do any harm. In science they are used as indicators for good reef conditions. If you really want to remove them you will find a way.
