Algae ID please.

Hey Reefers.
Tank is 2 months old. Finally got a proper light couple weeks ago. Now algae is starting to bloom. I have it on my sand bed and glass.

Can someone tell me what type of algae it is? How can I reduce it?

I know I have been over feeding. So I will cut back. Haven't had time to do a nitrate test yet. Will do they later tongiht probably. Will also do a water change this weekend.

Test phosphates, that is usually the main culprit. It just looks like hair algae on the glass and diatoms on the sand. I wouldn't be too worried as its a new tank. Phosphate medias, some beneficial bacteria additives, and standard water changes are all helpful
