This started growing a few weeks ago, didn’t think much of it bc of the Dino’s and hair algae I’m dealing with but it’s continuing to spread. I assume it’s not desirable since nothing else else desirable is growing. Tank was started with dry rock. Added some “live rock” a few weeks ago (a single 10lb piece)

Does it look pink in person?

Haha, I agree with EeyoreIsMySpiritAnimal - white light pics (of both the full algae and an individual branch or two of it) would be useful here.

Here is a better picture, very pink in color. Continues to spread on the Tonga and is now coming in below this clump as well

No it’s not cotton like at all, more consistent with sea lettuce as far as density. It is obviously branching though. It’s in very high flow, just outside of the picture is a MP60.

Could you get a close up pic of just one branch of it?

I'm struggling to see how exactly it's branching, and seeing how would help with possible ID suggestions.

That said, maybe Bonnemaisonia asparagoides or a Dudresnaya sp.?
