I've been fighting this algae for awhile now and getting frustrated. I believe it came in on a frag plug and has spread. It's not fan like so not sure if it's bryopsis. It grows in the sand and clumps the sand together. I've tried increased Mg for over six weeks and no change. I then peroxide dipped individual frags and it grows back. I've been dosing a NOPOX diy mixture that I seen on another forum. It's a mix of vodka and vinegar. This seems to have slowed the growth. I will continue to search an ID and would appreciate any assistance. Here's a couple pics. Thanks

Yup! Been dealing with what you got for 3 months now... No one here will be able to identify it. This stiff hair like strain is very hard to remove manually unlike GHA. Heres what I did to finally get ride of it.

Lowered my Po4 to zero using Phosphate Rx. The corals weren't the most colorful after, but didn't have much choice.
Removed half of my live rock into the sump area to hide from light
Started feeding only for 30 seconds once a day instead of twice
After the algae starts to fade you will be able to manually remove the algae.
I got a brush and scrubbed my live rock once a week with a stiff brush.

Good luck
