Anyone know what this is? I've seen what I thought was bryopsis pop up in little bits quite frequently in the display section so I pluck them off. Never really a problem. Tried treating the tank with tech m 4 times without success.
Put a Magnafuge LED in the back chamber on alternating light schedule and started seeing this stuff grow like crazy
First pic after a week or so

This was taken today, another week later. It has been removed now but will probably come back.

OH NO! :( its bryopsis......
If you cant get it with magnesium, try chestnut cowries. After all I tried...those were the only ones that worked. and theyre a great CUC

Thanks for the first link Reeferdood. Looks like the same kind in those photos so thats unfortunate. I had only come across an ID and description that looked quite different but didn't realize there are so many types of Bryopsis!
Ok so tech M is out, not bothering with that stuff again, I've raised mag quickly to over 1800 and even to over 2000 for weeks. Heard the recipe changed, is Continuum still a viable option?

Looks like the LFS has some lettuce nudis in stock, which I've found work pretty well, but when the food is gone they wither away and die. Not sure if a tank this size can handle a nudi death

Will also have a look for chestnut cowries, thanks ^^

I tried tech m...worked for a little while if I spot treated it but the cowries ended up getting rid of it
