this disappears until my lights are on then comes back slowly but surely. Any ideas?

If in fact it is spirulina then chemiclean is the only route but first it needs to be identified,
It does not look like there is enough to do my test (cyanobacteria) yet.

From pictures it doesn't look like cyno, but I'm not too sure. Wonder if my vibrant dosing will handle it.

Spirulina has the trait of seeming to go away and come back with the change of lighting.
I would watch it close or time to do a H2O2 cleaning.

I have never done a H202 cleaning; what is it?

Its when you use H2O2 applied to any area you want to rid of algaes and some bacteria. Let that H2O2 sit for about 4 minutes then place back into the tank. Presto!
No need to rinse rock.

Can I drop the water levels in my tank low enough to do such a thing? Will h202 (hydrogen peroxide?) do anything dangerous to my tank in general?
