Can someone tell me what algae this is? I am finding patches of it and none of my fish or inverts are interested in it. one is growing between my zoas, I don't want it smothering my zoas

It's hard to photo but looking closely each blade looks like a feather
Brownish green

If you do the fluconazole treatment, you won't have to take any rocks out. Part of the problem with bryopsis is manual removal generally just makes it worse. The thread is definitely worth reading, it kicked my bryopsis to the curb!

Thanks, I am reading it up, looks like they had some good results too!

I am currently using Vibrant for other algae issues.. anyone have had luck with Vibrant? I am only on my 3rd dose- not sure if it's wise to mix two medications

I just started using VIBRANT last week. Tomorrow will be my second dose (I'm battling some green hair algae). I'm eager to see how two doses per week effect the GHA. I have a 54 gallon corner bowfront that is not drilled, so I'm running a HOB skimmer (Aquamaxx HOB-1), and I just set up my CPR HOB Refugium (Aquafuge2) in which I'm growing some chaetomorpha macroalgae and letting my copepod population grow. Hoping that'll also knock out my GHA bloom by bringing my phosphates down.

I have been dosing Vibrant since Oct 24 in a 2x weekly dosage like they recomend. It took care of all of my other algaes except my bryopsis, which while looking unhappy from the vibrant, just kept right on growing. Fluconazole changed that completely

so did Vibrant work for you guys? cuz i've been dosing it for about month and half and it aint doin jack. I don't know if I got a bad bottle or what but i'm almost done using the whole freakin bottle and I haven't seen any kind of retreat from gha or diatoms.

Vibrant got rid of all the brown crud I had growing, my cyano went away, and all the green algae went away, except the bryopsis. My bryopsis looked really bad the whole time, but still slowly crept around the aquarium. I wouldn't bank on it getting rid of bryopsis. I dosed it for 3 months and my bryopsis was worse than it was when I started, I think the Vibrant slowed it down, but it definitely wasn't stopping it.

Would anyone happen to know what type of Algae this is? Is it Hair Algae and what could be causing it? My PO4 is 0.02ppm and NO3 is undetectable with the Red Sea Pro Kit. Maybe need to try another kit. Any help would be appreciated. Included is a photo of the problem.

Looks like the start of cyano.. I am not an expert on ID'ing algae, so I hope someone confirms or proves me wrong!

I agree, Vibrant isn't doing much for bryoposis. mine is still growing. waiting for the flucanazole to come in
