Hello, I'm new here! Have been looking aroud thne forum for some time and have learned a lot :)

I have quite a lot of algae gowing in my tank at the moment and I'm not really sure what it is. People said everything from green hair alge, maiden's hair algae, green turf algae... Can anyone ID this?

The algae is very well rooted and almost impossible to pull off with the base. I also did a 4 day blackout and it all stayed exactly the same. Tried frequent water changes, GFO reactor and it seems like it's feeding on salt XD

The tank is about three years old, was doing great until this happened, fish are doing fine and a few LPS I have are also growing normally. Any help appreciated.

Greetings from Slovenia!

I've had the same problem happen to me. Your system might have become deficient in something. I don't feel like writing a lot so as an alternative, maybe this might be helpful.
