Need help identifying this algae. It started growing about two months ago. Every day I remove it, and the next day its back. My tank is about 6 years old. As of two weeks ago, nitrates were zero and phosphates were 0.03. I know this can be misleading with the algae growth. I haven’t changed anything in my daily routine that I can think of. Thanks for looking.

Is this something that your CuC won't eat? I can't see it well enough to try an ID on it.

It is brown and fury - I’ll look into the Reef Flux. Amazingly it grows back every day after being completely removed by hand. CUC is not keeping up with it, although admittedly I need to update the crew.

I just completed the coffee filter test. Concerned this may be dinos.

Other odd thing I should point out is that the growth of this algae (knock on wood) only occurs on the glass, frag rack and power heads.

I have something very similar growing on the face of the powerheads/wavemakers in my 16g spare tank. So far it's not been on the glass, frag rack or the rocks.
