A friends tank is getting this algae. Can u help ID ?

Looks like calothrix (type of Cyanobacteria) to me. Nutrient sponge, ime takes off when rocks or water have a lot of po4. They tend to stick the surfaces that have their food source. I had luck running phosguard in a media bag to get rid of them. Each day replaced and retested. Was more controlled than gfo which ime acts slower.

Thanks for this info, I googled and this is what I am dealing with, not sure which one but it makes a lot of sense as I had / am having a mine crash / cycle. :)
