So this stuff started getting out of control. Vibrant didn’t seem to do much, at least not fast enough. Started dosing Fluconazole about a month Now and it’s knocked it back about 75% so far. I’m curious if this type of algae gets eradicated by the fluconazole, will it always return or its gone for good unless you reintroduce it to the tank?

The Fluconazole also seems to be starting to make a dent into a small patch of this velvety red turf algae I also have! Only issue is the Fluconazole seems to tick the BTAs off and make them split. My 2 BTAs have turned into 4. I did a WC and added fresh carbon so the plan is to wait maybe a week and hit them with another dose. Thoughts? Can anyone ID?

Hi,

they look like hydroids to me but between my horrible eyes and somewhat fuzzy pics not 100%. I am not sure what gets rids of them.

so they look similar to this pic I pulled online
