Yesterday I noticed algae starting to grow on my rocks.

The aquarium is quite new.
Been running for about 3 months with 2 small clowns added 2 months ago

Parameters that I'm checking are under control with ammonia and nitrite at zero and nitrate at 20.

All
Part of the maturation process. I shorter or bluer light cycle will slow it up a little but don’t fight it too hard. Green stuff is next. Then some furry brown stuff. Some rust stuff on the sand. All good things that are trading the balance of power over the first 12 months.

Like the above said, don't fight it, algae is coming and there isn't much you can do about it. The faster and harder it comes at you the faster it will go away. Natural process.

Well, the green stuff has started.
Noticed the first spot today on the rock.

Have also seen a few patches of brown on the sand

Green algae has started to spread slowly but in the last few days I've noticed a few tiny spots which look white with a purple tinge and a dark center

Any idea what they would be?
