Well first pic, that encrusting stuff kinda looks like coralline algae, not sure though. Second pic is most likely hair algae, but it could be developed dinoflaglattes. WHat are your PO4 and N3?
Ook then its probably hair algae. Im currently battling dinos but ive been told hair algae and bubble algae are very common after getting rid of dinos. Its prolly just hair algae. Pull it out by hand or get an emerald crab or smth to eat it. Im thinking the blade like algae could be bryopsisIn the first pic I was trying to capture the green blade of something, I know the other stuff is coralline which I'm happy with.
The second pic definitely has hair algae but if you look closely it's also got that singular blade/leaf of whatever. Interesting you mentioned Dino's, I just finished a few months battle with them (thanks to silica dosing and an over wanted and over flowed UV sterilizer). Both no3 and po4 are quite high at the moment since I was trying to combat the Dino's. They went from 0's to no3@25 and [email protected] <-not a typo.
Ahh I was hoping it wasnt bryopsis. I had to battle that once too and nearly killed my nem in the process. They dont seem to enjoy fluconazole. Thanks for replying!Ook then its probably hair algae.
