So is this a type of hair algae? It’s quite a bit bigger and is coming from a single attachment point. But I’m at a loss as to what it is.

Hi, Almost definitely bryopsis unfortunately. Fluconazole worked quite well for me but I did loose a couple of corals. Nothing I’m aware of eats bryopsis. If it’s only in small amounts you could try h202 spot treatment.

It was a tiny bit. Only a few small pieces. That was the biggest piece
