Maroon algae, not cyano. It is adhered to the rock. Grows fast. Any guesses?

Did some research and it appears to be Peyssonneleia Sp sometimes referred to as Coralline algae although it’s not. Thanks for all the help ……

I have a red coraline species in my tank that looks like this.. That was my initial thought as to what it was from your picture

Maroon colored algae

Not sure what this is or how to get rid of it, On my second dose of red slime remover and it don’t look like it’s making a difference. It’s hard and stuck on good, could barely scrap any off with my nail. Feels like it’s slimy.

Jimbo my old tank had this stuff at one time. I use potassium nitrate and increased my nitrates and it started to go away.
