Unsure if it's red slime, dinos, or something else. Just battled a bad case of red slime and started MB7 and scrubed the rocks but it grew back brown and it has the same texture. Nitrates are at 2-5ppm and phosphates are at 0.03.
Can red slime algae be brown after treatment? Or did dinos just take over?

Looks like textbook Dino’s. Are they there in morning when lights first come on? I would add carbon and then try to confirm type of dino

Probably dinos.
All the wispy filaments look like it.
This sometimes happens when dosing chemicals.
Up your po4/no3.
If it goes away at night, buy a uv filter. Plumb from tank to tank.

So the dinos look dead based off the black sand bed I have right now. Would this be an accurate guess? I have red slime and GHA growing in the tank. Since the parameters are looking good I'm skipping this week's water change. What is the next step? I'm not touching it now but going forward should I remove all of it or parts of it? Any tips to keep it from coming back

Also where could I post how I did this? It's quite simple and would love to share it for reefers who simply can't afford some of the remedies that dinos require.
