It is on the glass and some of the rocks and in power heads. It’s not really causing visual problems, but I would like to know what causes this. I noticed rocks have a brown dusting to them, but it’s mild and not noticeable.

I noticed it’s very stringy on the glass. It looks webbed together. I have been dosing a lot of phytoplankton, reef chilli, and amino acids as well as feeding heavy.

Phosphates 0.08
Nitrates: 5ppm
Tested yesterday but it’s possible that it could be a little higher because I just fed.

dinos can't be ruled out given the recent change to dry rock, recommend that uv we discussed prior. actual identification is not as important as taking action

be siphon spot removing it, don't allow a massing.

as you read dino invasion threads the recommend is to do opposite of what you see in those threads, start now before it takes on mass. physically dealing with the invader is handy because it does not rely on identification or the hesitation from ID'ing an invasion, the treatments are the same, save your reef from takeover. I hope it is not dinos, maybe its a simpler cyano/hopefully just in response to the nutrients. those are potent retail feeds above.

a way you can easily remove the growths is razor blade wedged into a dowel/cut end facing forward at the end of the dowel then tape that dowel to a long siphon hose

with pumps off, be scraping down motion on the back wall while the siphon runs and it'll pull that stuff off in sections.

tanks that start with dry rocks inevitably have some uglies to process, I feel you should be removing them now and instating the clean condition as you search options. dont let it amass then try and work backwards, this is every invasion thread's mode. reducing your light intensity for the next two weeks is ideal, same spectrum but lesser intensity. it can help in some invasions, and its a harmless adjustment for two weeks as clouds happen in nature sometimes, when you ramp back up you can see if the mass responds better or worse. as you read up on dinos challenges, notice the trend is to sit back and allow total takeover/100% of surfaces

don't do that mode, its bad. work to keep those huge happy corals unsmothered.
