Algae identification

No its certainly not harmful its commonly seen in new tank pics where the rocks lack calcification

See how its just on the rocks and not on the sandbed? The rock coverage for that low lying micro algae is 100% and the sandbed is zero

Thats an interesting detail imo makes me want to know the history of that rock you are using, where did it come from? If your tank was mine I'd simply kill off the algae to un green the rock and let the tank mature.

Others would recommend you began phosphate management, others would say hands off until tank matures and lower your photoperiod a little
