Algae Identification

This is the best picture I could take but I hope it helps. Im starting to get this stuff sprouting out of my rock and im hoping someone can help me identify it. The longest pieces are about 1 inch in length and its thick like chaeto. Any info helps.

looks like cheato is growing in your dt. I would put it back in my fuge

Thank you guys. I never introduced it to my system so It must have come in on a frag. Would you guys recommend I leave it or can I pluck it as it grows. It’s not the prettiest the way it’s growing.

You can pluck it as it grows.

If it keeps coming back in the same spot , you can use a new cheap screwdriver to scrape the rock in that spot. I wipe it with alcohol before putting it in the tank.

A butter knife also works sometimes.
