Hey all,
New tank, over a month old. Sorta rushed things with the addition of coral mainly. I have a pair of clowns in this biocube 29. Used dry rock except for the piece where the algae is on. I currently have less than 5ppm nitrates, not sure my phosphate levels. I have a small fuge in the back of the tank that’s probably keeping no3 in check. I need to monitor my elements though for sure because among zoas and GSP, I do have a frogspawn that I’m worried about in terms of consuming elements in my water. I don’t think I have to add a CUC yet because I can literally just pick this off the rock myself. Just wondering if this is a bad sign or was just inevitable using this piece of rock from a tank at the LFS. it’s hard to tell what what’s on the rock because it is life-rock which is already purple.

Thank you all

A jar of ring cowries would probably be better...
Word! I just have a jar of ecopods coming in the mail today. I don’t care about the algae itself or necessarily getting rid of it. I can just pull it off the rock with tweezers. Just wanted to know if it was a sign of something bad..
