I've got a 60g cube with a 20g sump so 80g system. Tank is about a year and a half old. Currently stocking is 2 Banggai and a pygmy angel. I go through a cube of mysis or brine(I mix it up) or equivalent every 3-4 days and sometimes give a pinch of a Marine-S, again I mix it up for them. I have quite a few hermits, an emerald crab, a bunch of cerith and dwarf cerith, 2 nassarius, 10 astrea, 3 nerites, and a zebra turbo. Not sure if that's too high on a CUC but I only recently got most of them as a band aid to my GHA problem. I have a Mushroom coral, Mini Maxi Anemone, a photosynthetic Gorgonian, and a Bubble Coral. The last 2 have not been doing well on account of being swarmed by the algae. I target feed reefroids weekly and they perked up quite a bit.
My parameters are
8.2pH
Undetectable Ammonia
Undetectable Nitrite
5ppm Nitrate
.02 Phosphate
470 Calcium
1450 Magnesium
8 dkh
1.024 SG
78° Fahrenheit
Undetectable silicates
I also cured my rock with an empty tank when the tank has just gotten started. Sump has a Bubble Magus Curve 5 Skimmer, a bunch of MarinePure, Chaeto, and some Hermits and Ceriths. The return pump I use claims 1000gph but I believe the weight of the water makes it significantly less. My light is a Hydra 26HD. Rock is BRS reef saver.

I have tried manual removal as well as a blackouts and even not feeding and numerous large water changes. I am currently running a course of Fluconazole until I see no more algae and then continuing a week after I see that result. Within 3 days of dosing it, I have had the algae turn from a deep dark green to a gross brown color so I assume the Flux has had an effect. I am just under a week in and not seen much change other than that for now. Dosing 1 pill per 10g.

I also have some diatoms in my sand bed in low flow areas. I also noticed that my Chaeto doesnt really grow very aggressively...

My question is where could this GHA be getting its food and how can I fix my algae issues since I have a 3 pronged algae issue it seems. I feel I feed pretty lightly, but please tell me where I'm making mistakes here.

Vibrant is bacteria that eats the nutrients algea uses. I been using it for some time addressing bubble algea. It has slowly reduced the green algea. Follow dosing and do it slow. If you do not have a skimmer, suggest u add one. That will help. I have a refugium and that helps. My p04 is .03 and nitrates are very low. Algea is now in control. Since using Vibrant, even my glass does not get algea .... I am about to cut back to twice a month. May want to check out vibrant as a tool to gain control.
