Hey guys my tank is now 1 year old. Have 2 clowns, a yellow goby and six-line wrasse along with some snails, crabs, hermits. For probably the last 2-3 months I have had algae issues. At first and maybe still I thought it was just the tank cycling. Which it may still be im not sure. However recently I lost some zoa's to due to the algae and I dont really want to loose any more. I thought maybe it was due to high Nitrate levels however testing tonight I got 0 Ammonia, 0 Nitrite, and maybe 2ppm Nitrates. I ordered a phosphate test kit as I'm not sure what that is currently at. Also looking at maybe adding some GFO/Carbon into my filter if Phosphates are high. I did a water change around Xmas, and then 1 again prior to new years eve, I'll probably do another 1 this week. My plan is to just manually remove as much as I possibly can with my next cleaning. I also might add I just added 2 emerald crabs which I'm hoping will eat whats left. Picture below shows some of the Algae its looks blue due to the Night Light mode on. My tank is a 25 gal IM lagoon. If I let it go after 1-2 weeks my glass will be completely covered which I normally scrap off during a water change.

Are you using RODI water? If your tank is a year old it's not still cycling. Usually algae issues are phosphates in water or you're overfeeding the tank (IMO) Don't add anything to the tank until you identify the algae source.
Using rodi water I have a 4 stage filter setup at home . I’ll wait to test for phosphates but other then that I probably do feed a little on the heavy side. I did just up my clean up crew a bit so maybe that will help. I did have a protein skimmer but that died just ordered a replacement. So maybe that is the difference.

might be, I'm in the camp that feeding heavy is fine IF and only IF you have filtration be it bio or chem heavy enough to keep up
my freshwater planted tank I always feed extra, no algae............ but the plants pretty much take up any space the algae could be
