Hey guys. Currently, I have a 5-month-old 10 gallon reef tank with 2 clowns, elegance coral, bam bam zoa, 2 nassarius snails (I think, didn't see it in a while) and a red fire shrimp. Currently my pH: 7.8, Ammmonia: 0, Nitirite: 0, Nitrate: 0, Temperature: 76, Lighting: 12 hours. I also have 2 marine pure blocks with a bag of activated carbon behind. I change 30% of the tank water every 1.5-2 weeks with RODI water. Ever since I purchased my live rock from petco, I had a green hair algae problem which I tried to eradicate using my siphon. 2 months later, I start seeing some red slime algae but it wasn't as bad as the images you see below. After adding my elegance coral about a month ago, that is when the red slime algae started growing.
Do you guys have any suggestions for removing the red slime algae and other algae that can be seen in the tank? Are there animals that can help control the algae issue I currently have? I tried to add some nassarius snails so that the sand can get some movement however they don't seem to be doing much. Any suggestions will be helpful and considered. Thanks!
