Does anyone have a recommendation on what to use to clear up Dino algae?? I have been doing some research and some recommend using hydrogen peroxide. I have mostly sps and i have the algae under control at the moment but i have to keep my phosphates extremely low around 0 which is starting to burn some of my sps. The moment i let the phosphates rise up to .02 the dino's explode. Does hydrogen peroxide work and will it affect my sps? How much should i dose? I have a 180 gallon display, 45 gallon frag tank and a 90 gallon sump. I have chato in the sump, gfo, protein skimmer and carbon. Also i have some ciano growing in the sump and that must go also.

Water parameters:
ALK - 8.0
CAL - 420
MAG - 1380
NO3 - 0.5PPM
PO4 - 0 - .01

When I do H2o2 dosing on my 45g I usually dose 4 - 5mg. I've heard it can help to split the dose and so it 2x per day but I usually do the one larger dose. I've not noticed any issues with my coral and I have a bit of everything in my tank - leathers, lps, and sps

Did it clear up your algae problem?

I don't think it cleared it up by itself but it definitely made a BIG impact. I was using it mainly for GHA and a small amount of Cyano and combined dosing hydrogen peroxide with manual pulling of the GHA.
