Hi All,

I need some advise. I've had a 32 gallon tank setup for about 4 weeks. I suffered a sever case of some Diatom's (brown algae), it eventually became less severe but as the brown algae lessened green algae started arriving.

I've done alot of water changes but I can't seem to get rid of this algae. Do you have any advise?

So far my tank is stocked with:
2 clownfish
1 blood shrimp
1 pistol shrimp
1 watchman goby

And 7 pieces of coral.

It doesn't appear that the coral is suffering but I'm sure it's only a matter of time before they do.

I was thinking about getting 6 trochus snails on the weekend. Do you think that would fix my issues?

Trochus yes, Mexican turbo, astrea snails and Nerite. I also recommend a lawnmower blenny.
I have had great success with use of liquid called " Vibrant".

How much are you feeding? And I would reduce the lights for a few days and see if that helps with the algae? I had some green turf algae on some of my rocks and turned my lights down by about 10% and it all went away and the corals still seem very happy.
