Algae keeps growing on Gorgonian

I have my gorg in direct flow but algae keeps growing on the tips. Algae hasn't really been growing anywhere else in the tank since I'm running gfo but my gorgonian is an algae magnet. I keep trying to take it offf but it is stuck on there. Should I just cut off the branches will algae?

Everyday I pull out a massive wad but it keeps growing back. The algae you see in the pic will not come off after I took some out earlier.

I would cut off the parts with the algae.
