Hi All struggling with some algae (green hair/grape) in my nano tank.

Parameters
Nitrite - 0
Ammonia- 0
Nitrate - 2
Ph - 8.2
Phosphate- 0.03
Salt - 1.025
Alkalinity - 7.3
Calcium - 500+
Magnesium- 1500+

I do 1-2 empties per week including picking as much of the algae out as possible.

Clean up crew
Tailspot blenny
3 turbo snails
4 nasarius snails
1 emerald crab
1 halloween hermit crab

Lighting I use the Red Sea LED 50 which I have on from 10 - 9 (is this too much?)
95% blue
50% white

Feedingwise I feed twice a day and generally all food is eaten

Any tips or advice that could help ? Been battling the algae for approx 3 months now

I would suggest the basic algae fighting techniques: reduce light hours, reduce feeding (even if the fish eat all the food, its still their, it just turns into poop, but even too much poop means excess nutrients), weekly water changes, and scrubbing with a toothbrush.

If your really desperate, you can try something like Vibrant, but even medications still require reduced lighting/feeding and manual removal, to completely beat it out.

Thanks I will reduce the lighting by 90 minutes a day and just feed once a day for a week and see if I notice much difference. Already doing the weekly water changes and scrubbing.
