Thought my test kit was expired tested with new red sea and nitrates are 0,,,usually around 2ppm...now what? I have green algae..not hair algae growing on my rocks,,gfo???

Here we go.
We have 0 nitrates and we are sure that they are 0. A few tests have confirmed this and my LFS say it is 0. If you are not feeding your tank then that could be true if you started with 0 when you cycled your tank. If you did have nitrates and now they are 0 then something is consuming them. Your rock has green on it. Ah ha. That algae is consuming it. Is that a good thing? Do I need nitrates?
GFO. I wonder what thats for? Maybe I should add it and see. It cant hurt right. Its the in thing yes? Maybe not. I will read some more on what it does before I try that GFO stuff.

That's a pretty unhelpful post and I'm not sure why you're attacking the OP. I asked for a picture because it could be cyano. Cyano thrives in a nutrient depleted system since it can harvest the nitrogen it needs directly from the air.
