Does anyone know a way of getting this coralline like algae off the glass.

Razor blade doesn’t really work neither does brand new mag float with and without razor blade attachment

It’s in the bottom of my 30 inch tall tank so manually scribing is out of the question. Unless anyone with long arms want to come over and help :)

Here is a picture of it

Buy one of those long arm scrubbers with the metal scrape attachment, then with pressure scrape it off. Or just get wet and reach down there with mag float and blade in hand and scrape it off. Just need to apply some extra pressure at the right angle.

I know it will come off when I use those green pads from home depo. But I can’t reach the bottom of tank too apply more pressure. Algae scraper rod doesn’t work

Will blocking it from light kill it

It will but it's just gonna turn white and stay there. Since its thick Only good option is by hand scraper with pressure. Stand on a chair and get wet or find a friend or good neighbor with longer arms. Those scrappers with the razor blade on the end that sell at pep boys by the check stands work great just need to reach the location.
