I've finally conquered my algae issues almost everywhere in my tank, but I have one coral that appears to have hair algae on it when the polyps are not extended. Does this happen sometimes? Or is it something else? Manual removal was one of ways I battled the rest of the algae, but is that an option here? If not what should I be doing?

Maby a dip in a Hydrogen peroxide bath?
I have not tried it myself but I have read others that have dipped corals in diluted peroxide dips to remove algae. Do a forum search on it and see what you think. :)

If you are going to do Hydrogen peroxide dip, make sure is the food grade 3%

i have done it to my zoas and no negative effect, no more then minute and half.
or yellow tang or foxface do good for algae eating.

I wondered about the hydrogen peroxide dip... I’ll do a little research.... it’ll be tough to get it removed from the rock.... I’ve got a yellow tang, he he’s what finally solved my algae problem... I wonder if he just can’t get to it behind the polyps....

The coral doesn’t seem to care... and most of the time you can’t see the algae is there... I guess I could just leave it.....

Thanks for your help!
