So my Sinularia has been doing very well lately, and becoming on of my favorite corals. Unfortunately, algae has gotten wrapped around some of the branches and seem to be constricting on them. It's ugly and seems to harming the branch. I removed one with some tweezers, but it also hurt the branch which eventually fell off. Trying to avoid this again. Was thinking of using Vibrant to "eat" the algae off of it. Any other thoughts? I've ehar mexied reviews about Vibrant.

I'm sure there are many ways to deal with this. I usually start with blasting water from a turkey baster (gentle at first and then increasing slightly if necessary) then move to a soft makeup brush that is reserved for fish-tank-only use (it is, I promise ;Shamefullyembarrased ).

So have definitely tried my turkey baster with quite a bit of force, enough to make it retract its pollups completely and shrink in size. It's almost like the algae formed a complete ring around the branch, and the algae needs ripped to be able to get it off. The brush seems like a good idea if the algae wouldn't be a intact ring.
