So I have a weird 10g tank. The tanks sandbed is perfectly clear, glass is usually clean, not a spec of hair algae anywhere... except one spot behind my rockwork. This clump is huge! Its a large fistful of algae that when removed comes back within days. It is the only spot in the entire tank that has had algae ever. The tank has been up for a year and a quarter and this algae has always been there.
Its not. An eyesore because its hidden but I kinda wanna know whats up with it only growing in this one spot.
Phos and nitrates are basically undetectable I am working on raising them.
I can't get a clearer picture because how awkward the location is

I am guessing it is probably a flow issue which causes detritus to collect back there?

My guess is it popped up in that spot and just hasn't spread yet because you're removing it.

I love those colonies by the way!
Thank you! Here's a better pic of the tank (older pic) its like 30 heads of frogspawn up top 4 in the middle
8 heads if gold hammer and some birdsnest!
I don't religiously remove the algae I've done ti like 4 times

It is likely associated with light. By any chance is the tank at or near a window?

No direct light. Infact this spot receives very low par like 70 while the top of the rockwork is 270 par. This side of the tank is also close to a wall. It receives the least light but also the least flow
