Algae or not?

Hi guys,

I’ve got an issue with a pinky, jelly type of algae or I’m not sure what it is! Local reef shop had no clue! I’ve got that in the sump more than the tank itself. It likes to grow around wave maker and skimmer. I keep cleaning that crap but it keeps coming back? Any idea and solution please? Cheers oz

I dose Red Sea calcium, alkalinity and no2 no3 Po management. I recently changed %60 of the water but it comes back!

I'd dip that in straight 3% peroxide for 30 seconds and put it back in the tank and see what happens.

Whats the no2no3 po management? Is it a carbon source? If so that could be growing the bacteria.

Sry my bad it is algae management program Red Sea’s NO3: PO4-X

I can do that but it is in the sump too. I keep cleaning but it comes back...

Yes that a carbon source and would be helping that bacteria grow.
