Algae Outbreak

Hi everyone, I have recently been battling a bad algae Outbreak. It started with a few pieces of bubble algae (which I rolled off) and is now becoming out of control. Also, there is a lot of hair algae as well. Any help would help.

Hello! Algae issues are 99% of the time driven by excess nutrients and light.

In order to help you the best we can, please answer a few questions.

What size tank and sump?
How long has it been up and running?
What fish and what and how much do you feed them?
What do you do for mechanical filtration? Socks and skimmer?
Do you have test kits for nitrates and phosphates?
If so, what brand kits and what are your current readings?
